And everyone is transformed
December 11, 2024 · Poem 31 of 112
When you hear the piercing cry for help
From a member of your tribe,
Her children clutched by her side,
Something stirs deep within you.
That sound transforms within you,
Becoming your own battle cry as it escapes
your lips,
And you rush to action.
One hand unsheathes your sword,
The other dons the crown.
Some you compel to action,
While others just stand in awe,
Marveling at your power—
And everyone is transformed.
